Rehab

It sounds as someone really doesn’t want to go to rehab.  The song has the jazz tone to it that is almost and old school kinda of music.  Amy as usual has her trademark hair and makeup style that everyone remember.  This song is obviously relating to her alcohol issues as well as going to rehab.  She was very young, talented, and had a great voice.

I Will Always Love You

When the song begins I think of it as a soft lullaby that can easily put a baby to sleep. When I hear this song I automatically remember the movie The Bodyguard.  My mom always listened to this song when I was a kid.  You wouldn’t believe this was the voice of someone who would do drugs.  When I think of Whitney I think of this song and the 1991 Super Bowl between the New York Giants and the Buffalo Bills because of her outstanding performance before the game.  She beautifully sang the national anthem which impacted so many veterans and soldiers who were watching that game during the time in Iraq.

Rhythm Nation

The choreography is insanely good, everyone was in sync and on time with one another.  Janet was always a great dancer.  The way everyone was moving reminded me of the stormtroopers in Star Wars when they would march in order without making a mistake.  Also at my brothers boot camp graduation how the marines would walk at the same time without someone missing a step.  The beat reminds me of the 90’s hip hop especially how good music was back then.  In the beginning Janet says, “To break the color lines, Let’s work together.”  I feel that statement also, the video being in black and white was trying to send a message of racial equity.  In the end Janet was singing what I heard was, “Say it for the children, say it for the babies.”  The song itself definitely has rhythm, I overall enjoyed the song.

I Fink U Freeky

Creepy.  I feel that the whole video was creepy in a creative and literal way.  If I was in the video I would try my best to hide.  The setting and background reminds me of a horror scene from “Saw”.  I swear at some point during the song jigsaw was going to show up.  The beat made me move my head to the beat.  It had a good beat but, the song and video is a combination I wouldn’t expect.  The characters overall freaked me out.  I wonder how much they got paid to shoot the video.  Wow my eyes hurt, damn those lights were bright.  I wondered what the girls definition of “freeky” was, but after the video I don’t want to know anymore.  The guy did sound as Slim Shady in a way.  I was barely able to understand what he said, he was going too fast.

WTF (Where They From)

Someone is making there way into the club, he isn’t the type to go clubing.  Chilling with friends just sitting and talking.  The music is loud and beating fast.  He doesn’t dance and is too nervous.  He sees everyone else having a good time and realizes this is not his place.  A buddy of his slips a little “something” into his drink.  The guy is clueless and keeps sipping from his cup until, the little “something” takes affect.  Once it starts his legs start bumping, hips start swinging, he gets up from his seat full of energy and grabs the first girl he sees and starts dancing.  This guy is going crazy the whole night, some may say he was out of it.  This guys is just drinking and dancing with everyone.  Doing his thang with the ladies feeling too confident.  Soon this guy’s energy goes down and he crashes on the floor.

Tired…..someone is tired, very fed up, alone, empty  inside, there’s a void deep inside that needs to be filled.  Blocking people out of mind, trying to be reserved.  I feel that there’s a huge wall blocking a path that is wasting peoples time and preventing them from going through.  No one decided to do something about it.
